Abstract

Background: As an effort to accelerate the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesian government implemented PPKM. Critical sectors such a health sector is operating with 100% staff without exception. In Indonesia, 83% of health workers experienced burnout syndrome during the Covid-19 pandemic. The government plays a role in increasing morale by providing compensation. This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation of health workers with compensation and work stress.

Method: The study was conducted on 242 health workers at RS X Bogor City during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research design used cross sectional analytics. Data collection was carried out with an online questionnaire. Sampling was done by purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Result: The results showed that there was a relationship between work motivation of health workers with compensation and work stress at RS X Bogor City during the Covid-19 pandemic. 58,3% of health workers have high motivational levels, 52,9% have high compensation and 75,6% have a moderate stress level.

Conclusion: Health workers are expected to implement stress coping strategies and hospital management can carry out regular work rotations, evaluate workload and schedules, implement Hospital Occupational Health and Safety and effective communication related to compensation for health workers.
